More of him, less of me……
March 10th, 2010 by KellyB

Wow, it has been a very busy week! From being gone so much in the past few weeks, I am not sure that I will ever get caught up! There’s so much going on right now, but I have been good! One thing about it, when you are extrememly busy, there is not as much time to think about food. I really would like to get a cookbook that has lots of easy low calorie recipes. My friend recommended “The Biggest Loser” one, does anyone else have any suggestions? I’m trying to switch it up, in the food departmant, something different, and stuff that my girls would like! I am trying my hardest to make this a family affair! :0) I apprectiate all of your prayers, as we continue on this journey! I am learning that my determination can only take me so far, and when I am week, He is strong!

Much love,
Kelly

FIBER, FIBER, FIBER! My latest visit only confirmed what I knew but failed to face, not enough fiber. I read that if you want to keep gettin’ what ya been gettin’, keep doin’ what ya’ been doing. Ok, I want skinny (or better yet, healthy!)so I guess I’ll fiber up. Perhaps you have already began this part of your journey. If so koodos to you, if not it might be worth a thought. I am just joining your challenge today. I have 65 lbs. to lose. I had total knee replacement in January and the activity level is just now getting above a crawl, so I understand when time and circumstance doesn’t allow for a vigorous workout schedule. Keep it simple, keep it fun! And I’ll see you in Tuskahoma in September. Perhaps we’ll take our healthy photo together. Keeping you in my prayers, Paula

I have been on this life style change journey for better health for over a year now I am down 50lbs. I have been making changes that I can live with. Started with portion control. I have no thyroid function and am diabetic which makes losing weight a little more difficult but through God’s progressive healing I am being successful. I will not allow the scale to dictate my success. I journal so much of my thoughts and foods that has helped me tremendously.

I am a 2nd shift nurse in a nursing home and my work can be very stressful. I have had trouble with binge eating the whole time on this journey. This week I’ve had to do more mental work than physical to stop the binge eating after work. Last night I started a liquid only fast after work. Because I have figured out just one bite of food starts the binge after work. I made it through my first night with just liquids after work.

I’d like to share the website that inspired me to start making these changes. I still have a lot of weight to lose but I can’t believe how much better I feel. http://www.takebackyourtemple.com Praying for all of us. It’s not about a diet it’s about an abundant life in Christ Jesus. Satan does not want us to be healthier. If he can keep us distracted about obtaining better health, he’s slowed down our pace for working for the Lord.

It’s a slow process and my #1 advice is don’t weigh very often maybe only once a month. God bless everyone. If anyone wants to communicate email to support each other, here is my email: preacherswife123@yahoo.com

Hey girls! I want to suggest Leslie Sansone’s Walk at Home video series. You can search her name on WalMarts website. She has SOOOOO much and you can do it anywhere. I dearly love her videos. She is also a Christian and it is uplifting. They even have one for kids. She has sooooo many videos. Check her out!
