More of Him, Less of me:)
June 23rd, 2010 by Terah

Hey Everybody! It’s been a great few weeks for me! I have now lost 60 pounds and I feel so much better!! I need to lose 70 more to get to the doctors heathly size for me. Water has been a big key for me!! I have never really loved water, but now that’s all I drink and I love it! Still working out for an hour a day, most days! I really do love to workout!! And you for sure need to eat healthy to lose weight,  but I will have to say that I do love food,  and I’m going to have a slice of cake every now and then. You will never win if you deprive yourself all the time! It’s best not to splurge often,  but every now and then will not kill ya! So how are all my friends doing!! Praying that God would give strength to us all to reach our goals!! Love you lots!! TERAH

    Hey Terah,

I’m glad you are doing so well. I have kind of hit a plateau and I’m not near the weight lost as you are and probably have about the same amount to lose. However, we got back from vacation and things should settle down now and I’m going to get back on track. Thanks for the motivation!

I heard you guys in Mesquite. It had been awhile since I saw you and you and Kelly look great. I am so proud for you both. I desperately need support and help. I have lost my job. I was layed off due to downsizing. Because of that my world has been turned upside down. I am a single parent. My daughter is twenty and in college and I was not expecting this job loss. I was working at a bank and the banking industry is NOT the place to be right now. Due to the drastic reduction from my salary to unemployment I had to surrender my car and I am losing my home. Fortunately I have parents to move in with but all this loss at one time has sent my food addiction way out of control. Seeing your blog and your pictures make me want to turn this around. Please pray that I can start taking those tiny steps to being healthy. Everything else in my life is uncertain but I know that God remains the same. I sing in a gospel group and we travel every weekend so the eating out is soooo hard too. Pray for me. Thanks for listening. God bless.

    Hi Ladies,
It sounds like we all are on a journey of a life time. As mothers, wives and many of us in the ministry we must learn to not only take care of the gifts the Lord so wonderful gave to us but we must also turn over the undisciplined area of our hearts and lives to him. It sounds like we are gulity at one point or another turning to food for comfort. We must learn to first turn to Lord when it comes to our daily activities and emotions. Let’s pray for each other that we will be extra sensitive to the Holy Spirit when we long for food rather than the Lord in times of need/stress/joy. Sometimes we think our bodies want to be fed, where if we just took the time re-evaluate the situation, we might find that it really is our spirit sending a message that it is hungry for the Word of God and in need of some one on one time with the Lord. I am learning this is very true in my life. Any one else find this to be true?

I am down 24lbs from my highest weight ever.I was at my Dr. yesterday for a checkup and she let me stop taking my insulin shot every day because my sugar readings are perfect! I can’t wait to lose enough weight to get off all my diabetes meds. Thanks for the encouragement and keep up the great work. Also, I heard about the terrible accident today. Know that we are all praying for all of you for a quick and complete healing and maybe one of you will write a song about this experience one day!
